Acuatico: Laiya, Batangas

Back in 2010, the hubby and I wanted to go to Acuatico to celebrate our 9th anniversary. However, they were fully booked at the time and we had to settle with Blue Coral resort which is two resorts away from Acuatico and where we also had out team building this year.

This time around, we were successful in booking Acuatico for our 3rd wedding anniversary. Banzai!

Instead of commuting the way we did back in 2010, the hubby drove there even though he’s never driven to Laiya before. Its been a while since we had a road trip like this and I enjoyed it. I love road trips. The only downside to it is that I feel guilty because the hubby is the only one driving which tires him out.

The staffs at Acuatico are very accommodating. As soon as we got off our car, a staff approached us to carry our bags and lead us to the reception. We were given the keys to our room and the same person who approached us led us to our room which is at the beach front.

The room was quite small considering the price. There wasn’t a lot of space but it does have a veranda which is right by the beach. It has a nice view but not exactly the kind of place where I would be comfy to hang out so we only ever got to use it to place our wet clothes and towels. Hehe.

We ordered some snacks at their restaurant where I had a clam chowder soup and the hubby ordered the Acuatico sliders (kid’s menu).

And then we enjoyed the amazing pool. ^_^

For dinner, they have a set menu which costs less than 500php while their dinner buffet is a little over 600php (sorry, you know I don’t take notes). We got the dinner buffet since the set menu doesn’t seem like it’ll appeal to my taste buds (picky eater here).

More desserts. PhotoGrid_1386823179037Kare-Kare, Fish fillet, Roasted Chicken, Grilled Porkchop, Chopsuey, Spicy seafood and rice. PhotoGrid_1386823211731 PhotoGrid_1386828674923They also have a noodle station. PhotoGrid_1386828807803

The room included a breakfast buffet as well. They had the usual Filipino breakfast, cereals, bread/toast, champurado and the noodle station from the night before was changed to an egg station. I loved their hot chocolate made from tablea. Very authentic.

Overall, our stay was great. I wish the rooms were bigger but the beauty of the resort itself was enough to make up for it. PLUS, they also have good food. I would LOVE to go back here during the summer so we could better enjoy the beach. 🙂 But I would first have to save for that trip… Work… Work…
