Our family shoot would not have been successful if not for our suppliers. Finding the right ones was not easy but God answered all our prayers and everything went well.
The Photographer: John Mateos Ong
Well, you already knew that from my previous post. Sir Jong was really fun to shoot with. He kept everyone laughing and we all felt at ease. It was a tiring shoot. It even rained on us but he just kept going and didn’t complain. He was also the one who suggested the venue and even took care of everything with them. Because of him, I was able to cut cost. 🙂 I’m so glad we got to avail that promo from DealGrocer.
The Venue: Clearwater, Pampanga
Most of the venues I know for photoshoots are more applicable to pre/postnups than a family shoot. We were eyeing Clearwater when we were planning last year’s postnup but they didn’t allow skylanterns which was our main prop. So when Clearwater became one of sir Jong’s suggestions, it was my top choice. The place is a really nice venue for an outdoor photoshoot. There’s a lake and a pool that was made to look like a beach, lots of greens everywhere and you can even go biking or boating.
The Makeup Artist: Michelle Camaclang
After setting the date, I tried looking for an affordable stylist that would also be available for our shoot. Mitch Camaclang stood out for me. For those who don’t know, she worked with Anne Curtis when she modeled Francis Libiran’s gowns for ‘America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion.’ How cool is that? During our meeting though, we determined that it would be easier for us to just get her for hair and makeup instead of taking her and her team with us to the shoot to style us. Less cost for us too. Despite that, she gave me advise with what to wear and gave insight about the venue since she’s been there a few times before.
The Transportation: Fly to Manila
After our mishap with van rentals during our wedding, we decided to go with a trusted supplier. Fly to Manila provided my bridal car and we were happy with them. Their rates are also competitive. White Nissan Urvan = 2500PHP for the 1st 10 hours + 200PHP/HOUR of overtime. This includes a driver but we shoulder the gas, toll, parking fees and the driver’s meals. Our driver, Kuya Gerry, picked us up on time and even helped us in hauling our things to and from the van.
For our outfits, we went to Greenhills to shop. We prepared three sets of outfits but ended up using only two. We pretty much got everything that we needed in Greenhills and it was fun shopping with and for my parents for a change.
So there you have it… The people who made our shoot possible. Photos from the shoot on my next post.
